Are there any programs out there that will help me get a grant to pay to go back to school to get my high school diploma / GED and also then go to college online. I am on strict bedrest right now, and has been on medical leave for 5 months from my job. Now is the time for me to get go back to school while I cant go to work... pls help.
mztasha, how are u this afternoon?? You stated that you are on low income, do you have medicaid? If so, there are so many optical stores including walmart that take medicaid if im not mistaken... try it out... or if u dont have medicaid, apply for assistance from you local DFACS office, you would be suprised all you would actually qaulify for... Keep me posted on how u are doing okay!
in response to nini3...Thanks for your help, and I will keep in contact with you. I know exactly what u mean about being a single mom of 3, I to am one. Its been ruff, and it is not easy to say this, but I wish i could start all over and I would made some better decisions in life. I am on medical leave from my job right now, and the last thing i need is for them to know i dont have a diploma. But the funny thing about it is, I have taken some college courses in the past and got some certificates, also I went to GMI at one point and took a quick GED test so that i can start but i really dont think that was legit. I am getting ready to call them now as we speak, and ask for a copy of my certificate b/c I did take the test. I will keep you informed... Thanks
ok question, if i had to drop out of high school b/c i got pregnant years ago, and the way my life was there was possible for me to go back to school. I have a great job now, but i want to go back to school. Is there a way for me to apply for a grant and get either my high school diploma or GED and also take some college courses at the same time on line?? if so, how and what schools... I cant miss a day at work and if my job finds out then i am fired.....please help??
